James Phillips, CFP®
Jim has been providing investment advice and financial services to individuals and businesses in Minneapolis / Chicago and across the country for more than 17 years. Jim is the President of General Midwest Financial Alliance; he holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation and has been selected as a Five Star Wealth Manager* in 2009. Prior to joining GMFA in 1995 Jim worked at US Bank as a credit analyst and for a subsidiary of Dial Corporation as a business analyst. As an independent wealth adviser, Jim primarily targets professionals, retirees, and small business owners.
Jim graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1989 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Finance. Jim grew up in Ely, Minnesota and enjoys fishing, hunting, golf, and hockey. He also spends many hours coaching both hockey and soccer. He currently lives in Minnesota with his wife and three children.
